Capacity-Building in Armenia
By EEC on 06 Oct 2015
Today, 6 October 2015, is the first day of the Training of Trainers (ToT) provided by the Joint UNEP/OCHA Environment Unit (JEU) and UNDP Armenia to representatives of the teaching staff of the Crisis Management State Academy of Armenia and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Rescue Services.
The ToT provides participants with knowledge on key tools for environmental emergency preparedness and response, including the application of the Flash Environmental Assessment Tool (FEAT) methodology. Upon successful completion of the ToT, the trained facilitators will be able to deliver environmental emergency courses. These courses can be part of the Academy’s curricula for bachelor and master degree students as well as workshops and trainings for national responders and Ministry staff at national and regional levels. The ToT is organized in partnership with UNDP as a part of JEU’s capacity-building efforts in the Caucasus and Central Asia region.
