UNEP Massive Open Online Course on Disasters and Ecosystems went live on 12 January, with more than 7,200 enrolled users from 183 countries. The course is free and you can still enroll now! Featuring exclusive interviews from world leaders, this MOOC enhances knowledge and skills for tackling complex issues such as resilience, ecosystem management, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation and how they can be operationalized.

UNEP, through its Global Universities Partnership on Environment for Sustainability (GUPES), and Cologne University of Applied Sciences (CUAS) has just launched the first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Disasters and Ecosystems: Resilience in a Changing Climate. There are no specific pre-requisites to take the MOOC, it is open to all without restrictions and is free of charges. Participants will also  be linked to a global network of disaster management and climate change adaptation experts and policymakers.
