International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG)

The International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) is a global network consisting of over 90 Member States and organisations under the United Nations umbrella. It primarily targets urban search and rescue (USAR) related issues, aiming to establish minimum international standards for USAR teams and a methodology for international coordination in earthquake response based on the INSARAG Guidelines endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly.

The purpose of INSARAG is to facilitate coordination between the various international USAR teams who make themselves available for deployment to countries experiencing structural collapse events due to earthquakes.
