The Global Fire Monitoring Center provides a variety of tools to build the capacity of actors to manage biodiversity, respect protected areas and preserve nature. These tools target land management agencies, policy makers and custodians of protected areas, and provides them with the capacity to apply prescribed fires in ecosystem management. The tools are also backed by comprehensive literature specifically dedicated to the study of wildfire management.
