These guidelines were created by the International Social Security Association (ISSA), a leading expert on the prevention of accidents with chemicals.

The aim of the ISSA is to promote dynamic social security in an increasingly global world by providing effective support in achieving excellence in all areas of social security. The Secretariat for the International Section of the ISSA on Prevention in the Chemical Industry is hosted by the BG-RCI (Mutual Insurance for the Mining, Minerals and Chemical Industries). The guidance is available in English, German, French and Spanish and is free to download.
